About Sublime

Is this a painting of a cloudy sky, rain on the ocean, deep space or some place we don’t yet have a reference for? The word “transcendence” seems to fit. To me, it is otherworldly. We cannot just walk into this place. As an abstract painter, I try to bridge the gap between what flows from me naturally and what the viewer gains from the work.

As a person of faith, I look at this image as perhaps a moment with God.
