We are pleased to announce that Tara laTraverse is the winner of the Fall Foliage Contest. Her image will be printed on archival paper and displayed in the studio for the month of December.
Thanks to all who submitted entries to the contest. There were many compelling images to choose from and judges, Julie Mallett and Chris Shook (owners of Julie Mallett Photography and Artistic Framing, respectively) had their work cut out for them!
Workshops
We have added an ornament workshop for December just in time to decorate your tree or to give as gifts (see description below)!
The ever so popular Beginner's Alcohol Ink Workshop is being offered again on January 9th and a new Intermediate Alcohol Ink Workshop on February 7th. Please check the website for a description.
The 2016 Winter Schedule will be posted on our website soon, but things to look forward to are workshops in paper lampshade making, iPhone photography, watercolor/gouache resist, and Korean dumpling making.
Japanese Washi Paper Ornaments
Workshop led by Laura Felt • December 7, 3-5pm • $45
In this festive workshop, participants will make three washi paper covered ornaments. The first ornament will be covered in the same paper, the second one using several papers to create a patchwork design, and the third one will use the "picket fence" technique to preserve the pattern of the paper.
No experience is necessary and all supplies are included!
