MIXED MEDIA MOSAIC with Janice Levitt

Learn to create a beautiful textured mixed media mosaic. Janice will demonstrate how to mix thin set mortar and adhere natural materials such as slate, stone, shells, and pebbles along with stained glass and found objects in a bed of mortar. You will explore design options and how to make expressive lines and use these techniques to create your own mosaic.
All materials are included but students are encouraged to bring any special objects they would like to include in their mosaic, such as shells, rocks, beads, or any meaningful small objects. Finding your own material in nature is half the fun!
