JASON HARTSOE | Clay
Jason was born in western North Carolina. He started making pots in Japan and chose to earn his ceramic education in the field, working alongside other potters as assistant and apprentice. His current work draws focus from historical pottery and contemporary design. It is made using local North Carolina clay, a slow, foot-powered treadle wheel and once-fired in a wood kiln.
He is currently a resident artist at Penland School of Craft.
