ARTFORMS | Theory, Practice, History

Gallery artist, Marsha Hammel will guide you in the process of realizing your own innate creativity. This is a month long class that will meet once a week.


When:
Month of June 2022
Tuesdays: 7, 14, 21, 28 or Thursdays: 2, 9, 16, 23
10 am to 4pm
Preview Meeting with Participants 31 May 3 to 4 pm

Where:
M.Hammel Studio, 1901 Kanuga Rd.,Hendersonville, NC

Who:
Artist Marsha Hammel will work with eight participants; four on Tuesdays and four on Thursdays.

What:
Mornings in lecture, research and discussion.
Lunch: three course “Luncheon in the Studio” provided
Afternoons at the easel for individual attention to techniques, materials and mediums
Participants may bring a work in progress or start a new painting during the workshop.

Why:
The goal is to engage participants in the process of realizing their own innate creativity.
Lectures:
• Time Bridges- Stone Age to Digital Age
• Purpose of Art and the Artist Within
• Visual Voice - Elements and Principles of Design
• Critique and Evaluation-what is “good” and “bad” art

Cost:
Fee for four sessions per participant $525 (includes lunch)

Limited to eight participants, four in each session
Easels , work tables and clean up supplies provided
Participants bring their own paints, mediums, brushes, etc.
