(Click on the event for more details)
The Gallery at Flat Rock is staging a new kind of exhibit in an unusual art space—the gallery’s bathroom. Titled 'Women’s Room,' this special show that opens March 23 will include wall art and sculpture by over a dozen local artists highlighting women and women’s history to celebrate Women’s History Month. A freewill donation will serve as an entry fee to the newly revamped bathroom space; all proceeds will go directly to benefit programs at Safelight in Hendersonville. Following the opening event, ‘Women’s Room’ will be on display, free and open to the public, until April 30.
Art and Earth lovers alike are invited to Earth Day Reflections: An Artistic Celebration on Monday, April 22nd. Arrive anytime after 5pm to enjoy light refreshments. The program will begin at 5:30pm. The program and feature artwork, music, poetry and prose presented by artists who find nature to be a source of inspiration and solace in their creative and everyday lives. Net proceeds from the event will benefit MountainTrue, an organization working to protect the natural environment in our beautiful mountain region.
